As one of the most widely used drugs out there other than marijuana, cocaine is something that can affect many people when it comes to taking drug tests for employment or law enforcement purposes.
With such high stakes, the great news is that it’s possible to learn how to pass a hair follicle test for coke use, as long as you understand what that actually means, and the exact method you will need to use to clean your hair in order to pass the test.
In a way it’s not about the answer to the question “How long does cocaine stay in your hair”, that is kind of irrelevant, and something we will discuss in a minute so you don’t get caught up on it.
The bottom line is it’s perfectly possible to pass a hair follicle test for cocaine, as long as you have the information you need and are happy to invest in time and money in the method we are going to talk about.
How Long Does Cocaine Stay In Your Hair?
Although the metabolites produced by cocaine disappear from urine within about seven days, they are findable in hair samples for up to 90 days.
Actually, any drug metabolite is traceable in a hair sample for the length of the hair, so if your hair is on your head for six years, then it will be traceable for six years.
But the standard sample length taken by a drug testing lab covers 90 days history, the last 90 days, meaning the length of hair close to the follicle covering that time.
So it’s not a case of cocaine metabolites disappearing in the same way as it will disappear from a urine sample.
Basically what happens is the drug metabolites that are created when you take a drug like cocaine move around in your bloodstream and attach themselves to cells in the body. Over time these work their way out.
The problem comes with hair follicles where the drug metabolites get stuck underneath them, and then get trapped in new hair as it grows out of your head, forming a recording of your drug history for the length of the hair.
Is There A Specific Hair Test For Coke?
There’s no real specific test for cocaine at all. Usually in any type of drug test, a range of drugs are looked for.
So for example, if you take a five panel urine drug test, then five drug metabolites are searched for. This can go all the way up to a 20 panel drug test, although anything more than 10 is exceptionally rare as it is expensive to commission.
But generally, there is no specific cocaine test, it is just one of the drug metabolites looked for in a sample test. This is the same in a urine test and a hair follicle test, the hair follicle test sample is placed into the different panels to see how it reacts for the different drugs being tested for.
Which means it basically doesn’t matter which type of drug you have been taking, cocaine, marijuana, amphetamines, none of those actually matter, all that matters is any common drug metabolite will show up in a hair follicle drug test up to 90 days.
What Methods will NOT Get You Through A Cocaine Hair Test?
The bottom line is that if you want to pass a hair test for Coke or any other drug then you are going to have to cleanse the toxins that are trapped in the hair on your head, so that you can have a clean sample taken.
There are lots of completely ridiculous methods online that will just waste your time and still get you caught out.
Stuff like washing your hair with vinegar, lemon juice, anything like that simply doesn’t work. You can wash your hair with any type of detergent or other crazy household substances and you will not cleanse the hair on your head of drug metabolites.
The only thing that will work for a cocaine hair test is a formula consisting of multiple chemicals.
Methods To Pass A Hair Follicle Test For Coke
There are only two proven methods out there which will get you safely through a cocaine hair follicle drug test.
The first is called the Jerry G method. It’s similar to the second method I’m going to talk about, and it’s cheaper.
However, the problem with the Jerry G hair follicle cleaning method is that it uses ammonia which can completely ruin your hair, even causing permanent damage to the follicles and the scalp.
The second method is called the Macujo method. It’s more expensive to do because it uses original formula Aloe Rid shampoo. This cost a lot of money, but is a crucial step in this method.
I would hands down recommend using the Macujo method over the Jerry G method because quite simply you are looking at a 60% success with the prospect of hair damage, against 90% chance of success without. The difference is basically the money you need to spend on Aloe Rid mostly.
I’ve written a detailed guide to removing toxins from your hair using the Macujo method here. It’s really detailed and comprehensive and tells you the exact method and the material you need.
But basically you wash your hair using vinegar, Clean & Clear pink, Aloe Rid, Tide detergent in that order, and you repeat it several times in the days leading up to your hair follicle drug test.
It’s labor-intensive and expensive, because you have to use Aloe Rid, and it has to be the original formula that you can only get from Testclear, Aloe Rid&Zydot Ultra Clean shampoo combo costs 235$, but it is highly effective and your only real chance of passing a hair follicle test for cocaine use.
So the bottom line is whatever drug you have in your system, the only way to pass a hair follicle test is to open up the cuticles of each strand of hair and flush the toxins out, it’s invasive and only the Macujo without ruining your hair.
